Alder Hey Children’s Charity is an independent registered charity which provides vital funds to supply Alder Hey Children’s Hospital with outstanding facilities. This hospital focuses on a healthier future for children and young people. The donations allow them to make a crucial difference to the 330,000 patients and families who visit Alder Hey every year.

As you can imagine an overnight stay is very daunting for a young person, part of what makes this hospital so magical is their patient rooms, which are each equipped with a special ‘parent bed’ which is funded by Alder Hey Charity. This allows one parent or carer to stay overnight with the patient, there are communal areas for parents to make a drink and have a chat with other parents. Garden areas for play and relaxation of the young people, magic shows, and wards visits from their favourite characters is what makes this hospital so magical.

Since 2013, the Charity has raised over £65m, funding a range of life-saving medical equipment and facilities that are making a real difference to families every day.
